Alexandra and Barry's Wedding Cake Topper

Here's a little peak at my process....
Always keep the dress covered in plastic wrap - so it stays nice and white!!
Then comes the doggie - I follow the picture - and next I will make his collar and tags - which happen to match the wedding colors!

After this was done - I found out the groom got a haircut!!  Now I'll have to give him one!
I bake Bride, Groom and doggie - then make the stand.
All baked!  Paint on their faces and on the doggie.  Ready to ship!
On the cake at the wedding!!  Matches beautifully!!  Good luck Alexandra and Barry!

Cupcake Wedding Cake Toppers

These are Wedding Cake Toppers for Cupcakes!  The first picture is right after I sculpted them and before they were baked.  I sculpt them with Premo polymer clay - then bake them.  When they come out, I paint on the faces with vitrea porcelaine, let the paint cure then rebake them so the paint becomes permanent.  Then, of course, the glitter paint!  Everything looks better a little glizted up!  I love the way they came out!  If Starla send's me a wedding pic - I'll post it.  Thanks again Starla!

My Copper Birds Nest

Today I made my first bird's nest.  I made it in copper wire with five eggs...... there are five of us in my family.....so I used five eggs!  It came out great!!  It reminds me of Spring and I can't wait to see a real bird's nest and hear the birdies sing!  Right now all I see is snow outside.....this is a sign of things to come!

Today I made a very special Rosary bracelet.  I made the beads myself with dried flowers I saved from my father's funeral.  I came out so great - I posted it on CharmsofFaith.etsy.com.  I only need a few petals to make a bracelet.  You can use wedding flowers, etc., to make a very special and personal bracelet.   I am going to be making a page on my blog with pictures of my process.  I made two different ones, one with links and one with beads in between.  I LOVE them!!

My Hot Pink Valentine Scarf

I posted this today!  It is knitted and felted.  The hearts are actually felted into the wool by using small heart shapes (i used wooden shapes) and attached very tightly with tiny rubber bands before felting.  It's trickier than it looks!  It's warm, soft and fuzzy.... and HOT pink!!
